Merseyside Mums Discuss Business
A networking event aimed at mums who juggle successful careers with motherhood is celebrating its final event of the year with a festive-themed event.
Mums have a clear understanding of the pressures of balancing professional and family life
Organised by leading law firm Kirwans, the Merseyside-wide Mums in Business network offers like-minded working women who struggle to attend out-of-hours networking events the opportunity to support each other both professionally and socially at lunchtime meetings.
Held at The Wro in West Kirby, Wirral, the latest event will feature Kirwans’ experts discussing legal advice regarding business disputes, wills and estates and protecting your business in the event of a divorce.
The group is the brainchild of solicitor Claire Currie, partner at Kirwans, which has offices across the region.
Claire, who has a four-year-old son, believes family commitments can mean women miss out on valuable business opportunities.
She said: “Mums have a clear understanding of the pressures of balancing professional and family life. Our members find value in not only having the opportunity to make new business connections but also in speaking with like-minded women.”
“It has developed into a warm friendly group where everyone is welcomed and attendees don’t necessarily need to be mums themselves. All members of the group understand the pressures of professional v’s family life and it can be challenging to achieve the right balance.”
The next Mums in Business event takes place at The Wro in West Kirby on Tuesday, 26th November from 12-2pm. Attendance is free, but those attending must register in advance. To register, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Caroline Evans on 0151 609 2755.
